Boy, four, knows every London bus route

Mapped: Ishaan with his father
Alison Richards12 April 2012

A four-year-old boy has memorised almost every bus route in London - including night services.

Ishaan Yewale learned bus maps off by heart over eight months and uses it to help tourists, telling people their best route.

He grills his father, Jayant, when he comes home from work to find out the routes he took.

"I love buses," said Ishaan, from Lewisham. "I spend all day looking at buses. I read two maps a day."

Mr Yewale, 36, said he had no idea why his son developed an interest in buses. "It's a mystery to us," he said.
