Tony Blair will try to put London's Olympic bid back on track today after weeks of resignations and in-fighting.

The Prime Minister will see bid chairman Lord Coe at Downing Street in their first face-to-face meeting since former bid chairman Barbara Cassani was sidelined. Ms Cassani's demotion prompted a public row between Lord Coe and former project manager Jane Willacy, who also quit in protest.

Her departure was followed last week by PY Gerbeau, the former chief executive of the Millennium Dome, who resigned as an ambassador because of what he described as the " shocking" treatment of Cassani.

Rejecting Mr Gerbeau's claim that there was a lack of high-level interest at No 10, the Prime Minister's official spokesman said today that he was giving his full support to the 2012 campaign.
