BAFTA drop Abi launch

13 April 2012

Awards body Bafta pulled out of an event today to host Abi Titmuss's launch of a new adult entertainment channel.

Titmuss, whose revelations about sex romps with boyfriend John Leslie have been in the headlines, signed up to be the face of The Fantasy Channel.

A source who was helping to organise the event for Television X said: "Bafta pulled out at the last minute.

"There may have been some kind of misunderstanding and Bafta didn't want to be associated with the event."

A new location for this afternoon's launch was found in Covent Garden, central London.

A Bafta spokesman could not be contacted today.
