The Apprentice star Tim Campbell has been appointed as Boris Johnson's "training ambassador".

The founder of Bright Ideas Trust, who was the TV competition's first winner, will develop the Mayor's strategy to get more people into work.

Mr Johnson wants him to use his motivational and leadership skills to help firms develop new training opportunities.

Mr Campbell, who has taken the role on a voluntary basis, said: "Some of those on apprenticeships will come up with bright ideas for creating wealth and this will also be a key focus for me."
