Am I God-bovvered? Tate tweets the story of Genesis

Good heavens: Catherine Tate plays a modern version of God in Jeanette Winterson's contribution to the Bush Theatre
12 April 2012

She has played the Doctor's assistant and a teenage girl who isn't bovvered. Now Catherine Tate takes on the challenge of a lifetime - she is playing God.

Tate will be the first of 130 actors to take to the stage for the new Bush Theatre's opening performance tonight. Sixty-six writers have created works based on the 66 books of the Bible as an epic start for the venue in its new home in a former library in Uxbridge Road.

Tate appears in Godblog, in which writer Jeanette Winterson tells the story of Genesis in tweets. Other writers involved include Andrew Motion, Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, Sir Tim Rice and Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams.
