The Kennedy family has long fascinated onlookers. Stylish and influential, the political dynasty is close as it gets to royalty in the US.

But much like the British Royal family, the Kennedys have also been plagued at times by tragedy and scandal - what has been dubbed the "Kennedy Curse."

John F. Kennedy's only surviving child, Caroline Kennedy, married Edwin Schlossberg in 1986. Now, their three children are making their own way in the world.

The Schlossberg side of the family includes daughters Rose and Tatiana and son Jack. While they might not be as instantly recognizable as their cousins the Schwarzeneggers or the Cuomos, Caroline Kennedy's three children are busy making strides in everything from journalism to (dare we say it) politics. In fact, Congressman Joseph Kennedy III is currently running for Senate in Massachusetts. And Jack recently made waves when he appeared at the Democratic National Convention.

Now, Joe Kennedy is calling for the creation of a fund that would compensate families of essential workers who died during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, providing $250,000 and $100,000 each for every spouse and child of a deceased worker.

He's not the only family member getting involved. Caroline Kennedy and her son Jack Schlossberg are accepting nominations for the Profile in COVID Courage Award, which recognizes and celebrates those who have shown courage.

Here's what you need to know about the young Kennedy/Schlossberg generation...

30-year-old Rose is Caroline Kennedy’s oldest daughter and bears a resemblance to her grandmother Jackie Kennedy. She received her master's degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

The Harvard graduate is an aspiring actress who’s created the web series End Time Girls Club, from Above Average Productions, which is part of Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video.

“It came up as a response to seeing the way that New York responded to Hurricane Sandy, and how people were grossly underprepared - specifically, girls in damsel in distress mode," Schlossberg told Mashable in 2016. "I thought it would be interesting to create this world where girls have to be survivalists without compromising their cute factor."

The Jackie O lookalike also appeared in a video paying homage to her grandfather to celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday. "I'm inspired by [his] sense of equality, his courage in naming the injustices in American society and his call for action," she said in the 2017 video.

Since releasing her web show, the aspiring comedian has stayed largely under the radar. The Jewish actress was commissioned to make original videos for Dover Street Market in Los Angeles when the store opened.

She's currently living and working in LA, where she co-wrote Time: The Kalief Browder Story for Spike TV.

JFK’s granddaughter and Caroline Kennedy’s younger daughter Tatiana is officially off the market. The 28-year-old journalist tied the knot in 2017 and (somewhat controversially) her cousins the Shrivers and Patrick Schwarzenegger both skipped the wedding.

She married George Moran on the Kennedy family’s estate in Martha’s Vineyard. The couple met when they attended Yale University together. They currently live in New York, where Tatiana is a freelance environmental reporter.

Tatiana previously worked at The New York Times as a climate change reporter and recently wrote the book Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don't Know You Have.

“It's about the unseen ways the things we do and use all the time affect the environment, why fighting climate change and pollution is so hard, but why it's crucial that we do, ASAP,” she tweeted.

Since graduating from Yale in 2015, John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, better known as Jack, has been following in his family’s footsteps. He’s at Harvard Law School and pursuing an MBA, which led to rumors of political aspirations, although nothing has been confirmed.

The 27-year-old received attention when he criticized Vice President Mike Pence's Wall Street Journal op-ed, in which he cited former President Kennedy's book Profiles in Courage to urge Senate Democrats to break with their party and oppose the articles of impeachment brought against President Donald Trump. Schlossberg responded on Twitter, calling Pence's remarks, "a total perversion of JFK's legacy and the meaning of courage."

Schlossberg appeared on The Today Show in 2018, discussing President Kennedy’s legacy. “I’m optimistic about it...people are taking it upon themselves, young people especially, organizing around the country to do what they think is right for our national interest and to choose good leadership,” Jack said about the current political climate.

That wasn’t his only TV appearance - he also had a cameo on Blue Bloods as Officer Jack Hammer on the CBS procedural, although he insists acting is not on the cards for him.

On Instagram, he's not averse to sharing a shirtless shot. At one point, he was rumored to be dating Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David.

And in a true twist, Cazzie's dad, Larry David, starred on Curb Your Enthusiasm alongside Cheryl Hines, who was married to Robert F. Kennedy. Now that would be a power pairing.

In a Vogue article, the eligible bachelor was said to be eyeing Kendall Jenner, although nothing ever came of it.

Jack said on The Today Show that he's been "trying to stay healthy and positive" throughout the coronavirus pandemic and he's currently accepting nominations for #CovidCourage and posting about the endeavor on Instagram.

He also made waves when he appeared at the DNC alongside his mother, setting Twitter aflame with his appearance. After he endorsed Joe Biden for President, the internet went wild, with people calling him "JFK Jr. incarnate."

Joseph, 38, is the grandnephew of President John F. Kennedy and the grandson of US attorney general Robert F. Kennedy. The Stanford and Harvard Law School alum previously served as the Massachusetts Assistant District Attorney but stepped down in 2012 to pursue a role in public office. He later won a seat in the House of Representatives in Massachusetts' fourth district. He also served in the Peace Corps in his youth.

He's currently running for Senate. He's also calling for the creation of a coronavirus pandemic relief fund as well as checking in on local coronavirus relief efforts throughout the state.

JFK's grandniece, Katherine Schwarzenegger, comes from an illustrious background. Her grandmother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, was JFK's younger sister, who later gave birth to Katherine's mother, acclaimed journalist Maria Shriver. Maria went on to marry Hollywood actor and eventual Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Although Katherine studied communications and journalism at the University of Southern California, she opted not to follow in her mother's footsteps as a journalist. Instead, the 30-year-old found success as an author and lifestyle blogger. With a couple of self-help guides and a children's novel under her belt, she blogs about everything from cooking to beauty tips.

She married Avengers actor Chris Pratt, who she met at church. They got engaged on January 14, 2019. They welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lyla, in early August.

Her siblings include producer Christina Schwarzenegger, actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, University of Michigan student Christopher Schwarzenegger and half-brother Joseph Baena.
