New riverside estate in Fulham

463 new homes for Fulham on one of the few remaining undeveloped riverside stretches in central London.
Priced from £1.12 million: two-bedroom flats with Thames views at Fulham Riverside
24 February 2016

The marketing suite on the jetty, complete with its grass roof, is one good reason to visit Fulham Riverside, a 463-home estate being built on the north bank of the Thames, on one of the few remaining undeveloped riverside stretches in central London.

The eight-acre project is a refreshing example of imaginative urban planning, providing a wide pedestrian boulevard leading to the river, expansive landscaped communal gardens, children's play areas, outdoor ping pong tables and a croquet lawn.

There are some shared-ownership homes. Once all the properties are sold, the marketing centre will be handed to a local environmental charity, providing a safe access point to the Thames for boating and educational activities. The façade of former Kops Brewery is being retained, while old Fulham Wharf is to become an ecological reserve.

A new Sainsbury's superstore is also part of the scheme, together with restaurants, cafés, bars, a crèche and a gym. Two-bedroom apartments with river views are priced from £1,121,000. Call Barratt on 0844 811 4334.
