London's best popcorn prawn

Thanks to Lady Gaga putting in an order for them at Marylebone chippie Sea Shell this week, now we all want these golden nuggets of deep-fried prawn or shrimp. Made well and with fresh fish, they are addictive. Here are five places to find popcorn prawn in London

Redhook

Little pieces of shrimp nestle in a light, crispy batter, drizzled with yuzu and chilli mayo to perk you up. Squeeze some lime juice on top for the full effect.

Baby shrimps delivered daily are chopped up, rolled in flour, fried in vegetable or peanut oil and served hot with chilli lime salsa.

After rolling them in semolina, rice flour and Panko breadcrumbs and seasoning them with cayenne pepper, head chef Moe Shahin deep-fries tiger prawns before serving them with chilli sauce and a lemon wedge.
