Have a butcher's: top chefs including Marcus Wareing pose with favourite ingredients ahead of Taste of London 2015
Chef Anna Hansen is hanging on a butcher’s hook in between pig carcasses and Marcus Wareing has sent tomatoes spilling from his suitcase. Why?
The images are part of a series in which chefs pose with their favourite ingredients before this year’s Taste of London event.
The foodie festival in Regent’s Park, from June 17-21, gives visitors a chance to sample dishes from the kitchens of restaurants including Wareing's Tredwell’s in Covent Garden and Le Gavroche in Mayfair.
Wareing, who will be at the event with Monica Galetti, his MasterChef co-host and sous chef at Le Gavroche, said: “Tomatoes are one of my favourites as I love their versatility and flavour.”
Hansen, of the Modern Pantry in Clerkenwell, said: “For me a good piece of meat is something of beauty and a flavour that just can’t be beaten.
“The pig is a fantastic animal — incredibly tasty, versatile and the recipe options are endless.”
Pascal Aussignac of Club Gascon in West Smithfield, said he will be creating a dessert using sweets and duck.
