"Very special": cod with kohlrabi and apple purée at The Ship in Wandsworth

1. Ingredients for a healthy snack of avocado mashed with habenero salsa, lime juice and olive oil spread on garlic-rubbed toasted sourdough, came in a jazzy paper bag sent by Wahaca.

2. Definition of the craic: The Ship in Wandsworth when my good companion Osh Rogers de-partied on St Patrick’s Day. Lunch, including cod with kohlrabi and apple purée (pictured) thanks to Nathan Richardson and Shaun Harrington, was very special too.

3. Lobster salad roll — much more salad than lobster — plus fries served at a snail’s pace at Newman Street Tavern.

4. After seeing Julianne Moore’s masterful performance in Still Alice at Everyman Baker Street, broad bean, pea and parsley risotto at Natural Kitchen opposite. At least I think that’s where we were.

5. Pork sausages, which Reg bought at The Sheepdrove Organic Farm Family Butchers in Clifton Road, W9, thereby discovering an enticing shop.
