Chefs team up for food festival

A World Cup line-up of top chefs will star at the Taste of London food and drink festival in Regent's Park.

Antonio Carluccio, Michel Roux Jr, Tom Aikens, Giorgio Locatelli, Marcus Wareing and Angela Hartnett will serve up their signature dishes at a fraction of the usual price.

More than 40 top restaurants are taking part in the four-day culinary extravaganza which includes a chef's theatre, a cookery school, a wines and spirits academy and speciality food stalls.

Roux, Antony Worrall Thompson and Richard Corrigan will run masterclasses and Gordon Ramsay will show how to cook the perfect Sunday lunch.

The Evening Standard's food critic Fay Maschler will rustle up a fruitcake for sale at The Critz, a tea shop run exclusively by restaurant reviewers with proceeds going to charity.

Tickets for Taste of London, sponsored by Marks & Spencer, Channel 4 and Laurent Perrier champagne, are available on 0870 128 3622.
