A Bite Out In London - Imli in Soho

Modern tapas: Imli
10 April 2012
What to expect

Modern Indian Tapas from the team behind Tamarind. An innovative menu that offers reasonably priced dishes.

Hot dishes
The most popular option is to start with a cold dish, then go for two hot dishes and a side. The Paani Puri consists of puffed wheat crisps stuffed with spiced chickpeas and savoury, sweet and sour paani. The Stuffed Paneer with spinach, mushrooms, spiced potato served with Mango & Basil chutney is a delicious veggie option for main. A spicy meat alternative is Chicken Haryali cooked in a smooth blend of coriander and green chilli sauce. Chocolate and Orange Zest Ice Cream should cool things down for pudding.

Drink Up
As well as the usual beer and cocktails, it is worth sampling the more authentic lassis. The Mango & Strawberry slips down rather nicely.

Ambience
A great place to pop in after work. Its central location means there is a great mix of trendy Soho types and men in suits.

Where to find it
In the heart of Soho. Very near Tottenham Court Road tube.

Cheque Out
It really depends on how hungry you are but expect to pay around £20 for a sufficient amount of food and drink.
