Competition in the world of edible spreads has just reached a new high with the launch of Reese’s spread.

The new food must-have joins the likes of Tesco’s Custard Cream and Bourbon Biscuit spreads, and Biscoff.

The arrival of the peanut butter and chocolate power couple looks set to shove Nutella to the back of the cupboard like that unwanted box of vanilla essence.

Unfortunately, we can’t go grabbing for a spoon just yet because the heavenly spread is only available in America.

But that hasn’t stopped fans from taking to Twitter to voice their joy at the new kitchen cupboard addition.

One user tweeted: “My mind and my tastebuds may just have exploded… This is a #gamechanger.”
