If you're a fan of Dishoom's now famous bacon naan roll then we have good news for you – you'll be able to make it from the comfort of your own home in the not too distant future.

Bloomsbury will publish the Indian cafe's first cookbook, Dishoom: From Bombay with Love, written by co-founders Shamil and Kavi Thakrar and executive chef Naved Nasir, next September.

The trio announced the news of their first cookbook, that will feature recipes for "almost everything on our menu" on social media on Friday:

The book promises to transport you "straight to the bustling streets of Bombay" and will feature breakfast dishes, dinner and even nightcaps.

It will include the secret behind Dishoom's beloved bacon naan rolls, as well as other favourites like the black daal, paneer and mango salad, lamb samosas, gunpowder potatoes and Mango kulfi.

"With recipes inspired by the warm, welcoming dishes of the Irani cafes that once populated the city – and are now all but disappeared – it is a nostalgic love letter to the best of Indian comfort food," Bloomsbury says.

The book will be illustrated with food and location photography, and will likely make the perfect gift for a foodie next Christmas.

Dishoom: From Bombay with Love will be published by Bloomsbury in September 2019.
