World Cup 2018: The best Scandinavian bars showing England vs Sweden in London

This weekend sees England take on Sweden in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, kicking off at 3pm on Saturday.

It’s a huge, huge game for both sides and thousands of fans heading out into London to support their teams.

If don't fancy nipping down to your local pub to watch it, there’s a host of Scandinavian venues hosting World Cup screenings across the capital.

Nordic Bar in Fitzrovia is a good place to start. The Scandinavian-themed bar is within free-kick distance from Oxford Street. It’s location means it’ll be pretty rammed come 3pm, but this venue is certainly worth seeking out.

The bar serves great cocktails like the Scandi Bramble as well as a wide range of weird and wonderful beers. The staff like to get inventive with their drinks too — nothing says World Cup fever like drinking a out of a Viking horn, after all.

Meanwhile, not only is Marylebone’s the Harcourt showing the football, it’s also offering a beer and a burger for £15. The plush restaurant and bar is home to a talented Swedish mixologist too, so if you’re looking for a drink with a nordic punch, this is the place.

England vs Sweden Match Preview

Beer and cheese. Could there be a better accompaniment to the best sporting tournament on the planet? Beer and cheese taproom London Calling Sweden certainly don’t think so. The venue, found along the Bermondsey beer mile, are showing the game on their big screen.

Scandinavian cocktail bar Kosmopol in Chelsea are showing the game too, but if you’re after a real party, World Cup pop-up Zlatan’s could be the perfect choice.

Despite being named after Sweden’s tattooed, pony-tailed footballing icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it’s not exactly Scandinavian. In fact, it’s actually housed in the notorious Infernos in Clapham. Ideal for sheer, unadulterated good fun though.

Chin chin, or if you're really looking to mix in, skål!
