London Beer Week returns to the capital for its second year this month, bringing with it a host of pop-ups, parties and cheap pints.

It’s organised by the team behind London Cocktail Week and works in much the same way. To get involved you need to buy a wristband for £10, which will give you access to all the events and deals across town for the festival’s duration, between 22 and 28 February.

One of the week’s biggest draws is bargainous beer — after all, what’s not to like about that? Over 100 pubs and bars have signed up to be part of the festival, and will each be offering speciality beers for just £3 for the whole week, available to anyone with a wristband. Those running the offer include The Understudy on the South Bank, The Hack and Hop in the City and Draft House pubs around town.

Many of them will also offer the chance to turn your beer into a boilermaker with a whisky on the side for £5.

Pop-up’s will include Hop House 13 at the Old Truman Brewery all week, serving up live music, pizza and lots of beer to mark the launch of Hop House 13 Lager from Guinness’s The Brewers’ Project.

Sharps Brewery will also be there, bringing a bit of Cornwall to the capital via a week-long bar. A short walk away, The Czech Club will give visitors a taste of Czech beers Pilsner Urquell and Kozel. And there’ll be a weekend boilermaker bar for those who like things strong.

Other events will include Meantime brewery tours, a beer-matched dinner at Hops & Glory in Islington, a BBQ and beer pairing at Bodean’s and daily tutored tastings at Crate Brewery in Hackney Wick.
