Will.I.Am on Graham Norton: ‘Black Eyed Peas have a new project for 2017’

Will.I.Am might be busy with the new series of The Voice UK – but that’s not his only thing planned for 2017.

The rapper and producer revealed to Graham Norton that next year will see new Black Eyes Peas material emerge.

While it won’t be an album, Will said the new ‘project’ will be ‘inspired by violence’ happening the States.

“We never broke up. We just took a break,” he confirmed.

“We are now working on a new project – I am not calling it an album – but it will be out next year. It is inspired by all the violence in the US.”

The Black Eyed Peas last reunited for a one-off single in September 2016, presenting a new take on their 2003 hit Where Is The Love.

The new version, titled #WHERESTHELOVE, reunited Will with Fergie, Apl.De.Ap and Taboo, and included guest appearances from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jaden Smith.

Will recently starred in the first promotional clip for the next series of The Voice, which will be moving to ITV for 2017.

Also appearing on the Graham Norton show are Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, talking new sci-fi film Passengers, chef Jamie Oliver, and singer Emeli Sande.
