Why did Niall Aslam leave Love Island? Viewers pick up on overlooked reference to star’s ‘dishonesty’ during Rosie’s row with Adam

Love Island viewers think they might have figured out why Niall Aslam suddenly left the Love Island villa, thanks to a cryptic reference to his recent behaviour during a heated row.

The contestant’s shock departure was completely glossed over on Tuesday night’s episode, with producers simply saying it was due to “personal reasons”.

But viewers were left miffed by Niall’s exit and think that a passing reference to his “dishonesty” by Rosie during her row with Adam might be a clue.

While most people were focused on the explosive showdown between the pair, Rosie dropped Niall into the conversation, suggesting that he had behaved in a similar way to Adam – despite those scenes not being aired.

Rosie said to Adam: “Do you want to tell me something that maybe you should of had the balls to tell me before?

“You say about Niall not being honest the other night, but you literally did what he did... and didn't have the balls to tell me before that you were going to do it.”

Viewers were left confused by the remark as no other mention of Niall being “dishonest” had been made in the show before.

“Why did Rosie say “you say about Niall not being honest the other night” when she was having her showdown with Adam? I’m so confused #LoveIsland,” one viewer wrote on Twitter.

Another wrote: “Did anyone else notice Rosie reference Niall’s dishonesty in her confrontation with Adam, I reckon he’s broke the rules in some way and that’s why it’s so hush hush #LoveIsland.”

Friends of the Coventry-born construction worker told The Sun Online that they were “shocked” to hear of his exit and “couldn’t get hold of him” to find out what has happened.

One pal told the publication: “We don't know what's gone on and we haven’t spoken to him so we’re in the dark.”

While a second source said: “We just found out when it came on the press.

“We are as shocked as everyone else is. It's a shame as he was doing really well and taking the show by storm. He is really popular as he’s a lovely boy.”
