Vogue Williams has been forced to quit The Jump before it has even started after suffering a knee injury.

The Irish model and presenter, 31, injured herself during training on Wednesday, meaning that she won’t actually be able to compete in the Channel 4 show.

Williams hurt her knee while practising for the Ski Cross, in which the celebrity contestants speed down a race track at high speed.

A spokesperson for Channel 4 said: “Vogue fell during training for ski cross yesterday injuring her knee which sadly means she can no longer continue in the competition.”

A source has told The Sun: “Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously.

“She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning.”

The news comes after last year’s show was plagued by injuries, causing a number of viewers to question whether or not it was too dangerous to broadcast.

Olympian Beth Tweddle fractured her vertebrae last year while Tina Holby broke her arm in two places as well as injuring her knee and shoulder.

Made in Chelsea’s Mark Francis withdrew from last year’s show after suffering a fractured ankle, while Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder.

Another celebrity is expected to be drafted in to replace Williams for when the show kicks off this Sunday.
