'They look so cute together': Cher Lloyd talks Cheryl and Liam Payne relationship as she reveals she no longer speaks to her X Factor mentor

Cher Lloyd has spoken out about her former The X Factor mentor Cheryl and her relationship with Liam Payne, who she appeared on the show with back in 2010.

The singer, 24, was rumoured to have feuded with Cheryl during her time on the ITV competition, but is appears that they finally buried the hatchet in 2016.

Speaking on Tuesday’s Lorraine, Lloyd admitted that she doesn’t talk to Cheryl but gushed over her “cute” relationship.

The singer said: "I never would have guessed it, but they look so cute together and they make a really great couple.

“I haven't heard from her in a long time. I mean, she's so busy with her baby.”

Recounting her show experience, she said: “I do honestly think I was on the best year, hands down.

“It was the best year, and I don't think they'll ever have [another] year like that."

Lloyd, 24, finished fourth on the ITV show and was signed by Simon Cowell’s label Syco, leading to two album releases.

Her latest single release was Activated in 2016 but a third record has not followed suit.

The star, who married in 2013, showed off her neat baby bump on the show, revealing that she’s due in May.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
