After Rita Ora had picked her favourite girls, and Nick Grimshaw had chosen the top boys, it was the turn of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to take on the Six Chair Challenge with the groups category.
The notoriously difficult round sees the judges once again whittling down the number of contestants – those who survived Boot Camp must duke it out for one of six chairs, signifying a place at Judges’ Houses.
Singing in front of a live audience, a seat doesn’t necessarily mean the act is going through – once all six seats are filled, any act could be swapped out of their chair.
In the first part of her Six Chair Challenge, Cheryl saw seven acts, losing only one by the end of the episode. Cheryl's category will continue in the next episode, where some difficult decisions will have to be made if she wants to swap any groups around.
The groups Cheryl chose to take a chair in the first episode were: Menn On Poinnt, Alien, Rumour Has It, 4th Power, Mon Amie, and The First Kings.
X Factor Judges 2015
4th Power once again proved themselves as one of the most talented groups in the show with their performance of Christina Aguilera’s Let Me Show You. However, the group are reportedly changing their name to Fourth Impact following a copyright dispute.
The only group to lose out on a place were The Decibellas, who failed to make it through with their take on Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper.
