This is it – the seventh and final week of The Voice UK auditions.

That means it’s more intense than ever – the coaches have just a few spaces remaining on their teams, and are reluctant to give them up.

Who will make it through before the battle rounds? Tune in to find out – and here are a few things to look out for.

1) A Hollyoaks actress

Abi Phillips is one of the final auditionees – and she’ll be familiar to Hollyoaks viewers having played Liberty Savage on the soap for over two years.

She landed the acting gig after writing a song that ended up being used in the show – and now she wants to go back to her original passion.

“I really enjoyed [Hollyoaks] and really did appreciate it, but I didn’t love it as much as my music,” she confesses.

“I kind of felt like it was time to try and do the thing that I really love doing.”

Will the coaches turn for her in her audition?

2) Will.I.Am brings ‘the fire’

We all know Will.I.Am loves his nonsense phrases – and he’s particularly fond of his latest one, ‘the fire’. Add a bit of sass to ‘fi-yah’, and you’re nearly there.

It keeps cropping up through the auditions stage as he hopes for contestants to bring their A-game, and he’s probably making a song of it right this second.

3) A Take Me Out contestant

Here’s a bit of ITV cross-pollination – guitar teacher Gavin Ellis once appeared on Take Me Out.

Not only did he have a go on the dating show, but he ended up meeting his wife there.

“When I came down the lift I saw her straight away and I knew that she was the one,” he says.

“I never thought when I entered it I was actually going to meet someone and end up getting married. Four years on, we’ve got a beauty baby girl and a beautiful family.”
