After a week off to show the football, the Great Sport Relief Bake Off is back for another episode of hapless celebs showing off their baking skills – or lack thereof.

This week it’s another mixed bunch heading into the tent to prepare sweet treats for the gingham altar.

You can’t say there isn’t variety - from retired footballer turned sports pundit Jermaine Jenas, to former Spice Girl Geri Horner (or Halliwell, if you’re still living in the Nineties), BBC World Affairs Editor John Simpson, and Louise Redknapp.

The signature bake this time tasks the hopeful celebs with creating a batch of delicious savoury tarts, while the technical challenge is Mary Berry’s own chocolate and beetroot tray bake.

If that doesn’t sound too difficult, the showstopper round presents a considerable creative challenge – recreating a famous sporting moment in a 3D biscuit model.

With both Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins off this time, it’s up to comedian Ed Byrne to take the reins – but Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood still ensure this feels like the Bake Off we all know and love.
