Oliver Nohl-Oser became the latest casualty of the boardroom in The Apprentice – as Mukai Noiri made a very narrow escape.

The 33 year-old sausage manufacturer couldn’t cook up a result in a food-based task, and was held responsible as the team leader of the losing side.

Lord Sugar tasked the business hopefuls with creating a sweet treat to sell on the shores of Brighton.

However, he was decidedly unimpressed that Nohl-Oser wasn’t able to translate his knowledge of the food market into the task.

“Oliver, I’m taking you on your word that you’ve got this business and that’s why I’m a bit confused as to why you’ve failed miserably here in management, in manufacturing, in selling,” Lord Sugar said in the boardroom.

“Your best hope for £250,000 is to buy yourself a scratch card… You’re fired.”

While Oliver wasn’t so lucky, Mukai Noiri managed to survive the boardroom for the second week in a row.

Lord Sugar said he was “this close” to sending Noiri home: “Mukai, you’ve got an explanation for everything but when you kind of add it all up, it doesn’t add up to a row of beans, really to be honest.”

Noiri was a team leader last week when neither side was deemed the winner due to their poor performance.
