The Late Sir Bruce Forsyth is set to be honoured in a TV special on the BBC next year, a day before what would have been his 90th birthday.

The one-off programme will be recorded at the London Palladium and will include music, comedy, dance and entertainment.

Dave Arch, director and arranger for Strictly Come Dancing’s live band, the show’s musicians and vocalists will be on stage to accompany the performances.

Charlotte Moore, BBC’s Director of Content said: “I couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute to our dear friend Bruce than this celebration at the Palladium, a theatre he so loved.

“Bruce was such a favourite with the BBC One audience who I know will savour this hour of entertainment, music and commemoration of a true showbiz legend.”

Forsyth presented shows including Strictly Come Dancing, The Generation Game and Play Your Cards Right.

His career spanned over 75 years, with other ventures including being trained in dance and service in the RAF.

The showbiz icon and former Strictly Come Dancing host died in August, aged 89 after having been unwell for some time.
