Piers Morgan takes ANOTHER shot at Love Island as he mocks contestants over 'fat lips and tattoos'

The Good Morning Britain host is not a fan of the ITV2 dating series

Piers Morgan continued his one-man crusade against Love Island as he took a shot at contestants’ “fat lips and tattoos.”

The Good Morning Britain presenter hit out at the new batch of reality stars’ appearances as his colleague Richard Arnold recapped the events of last night’s series opener, after slamming the show’s coupling ceremony as “a repulsive thing.”

Arnold explained that the contest “kicked off with five girls stepping forward for five guys” before recalling how contestant Sherif Lanre was “awkwardly” left hanging when none of the girls expressed an interest in him.

After the show replayed the clip of the singleton being rejected, Morgan mocked presenter Caroline Flack and ranted: “ If you fancy Sherif step forward, is that what this is? What a repulsive thing.”

“Is that what this country’s watching?” he added.

Arnold then introduced the show’s new pairings, prompting Morgan to comment on their looks.

“So it’s fat lips and tattoos,” he said, before asking: “What is it with the lips thing with this generation? Why do they all want to blow their lips up like balloons?”

He then puffed out his mouth and cheeks in imitation of the so-called “balloon” effect.

Ahead of last night’s opening episode, Morgan took a swipe at Love Island contestants’ intelligence, branding them “dimwits” and suggesting that they would struggle to “count to 10.”

“Tonight’s challenge, they’re going to be asked to count to 10 and be asked to name their favourite colour and see if they can remember what they said an hour later,” he remarked.

“If you want to kill brain cells you know what to do - tune in and watch this lot of dimwits prancing about saying stupid things about each other,” he added, before branding the reality stars “a contingent of brain dead zombies.”

The presenter has also placed a bet with Love Island narrator Iain Stirling, promising to donate £1,000 to mental health charity Mind if any of this year’s contestants are still in a relationship by January 1, 2020.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6.30am. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm.
