Good news, Mock the Week fans – the long-running panel show is finally back with a new series.

Yes, that means a break from the constant repeats of old episodes on Dave, as the topical news quiz returns to BBC Two.

The show is about to launch Series 15 one year after the end of the last run – and it’s kicking things off with the 150th episode.

Marking the huge anniversary is, well, more of the same really.

Dara O Briain is back as host along with regular team captain Hugh Dennis, with topics including Brexit and Donald Trump in the firing line. Then there’ll be the likes of Scenes We’d Like to See, and snippets of stand-up in there for good measure.

Also on the first show back are the likes of Josh Widdicombe, Tiff Stevenson, Gary Delaney, Ed Gamble and Nish Kumar – here to offer a satirical look at the news of the world.

“I know we say this every year, but the combination of new political figures and exciting debut performers will make the show more fun than listening to 'Lemonade' is for Jay-Z,” say the series producers.

“We can't wait to get started and, inspired by Leicester City, we're convinced this is going to be our year. If we're lucky with injuries, officials and the news stories, believe me, we won't be far away when the TV Quick Awards are being handed out.”
