Meghan Markle has returned to TV screens in the premiere of the latest series of Suits.

The actress, who is dating Prince Harry, revived the character of Rachel Zane for the seventh series of the US legal drama.

Her return to screens saw Markle’s character Zane get a big promotion as she was put in charge of the firm’s associates while one of the partners, Louis Litt, deals with a difficult break up.

Initially Litt isn’t impressed at having his responsibility taken away, but is persuaded that it’s for the best later in the show after speaking to another colleague.

Markle has played paralegal Zane on the hit US series Suits since 2011. The American actress has been dating Prince Harry since last year, with the pair going public with their relationship in November.

Rumours that the pair will wed have circulated ever since, with bookmakers recently suspending betting on the couple getting engaged this year.

The 35-year-old also joined colleagues to celebrate filming the show’s 100th episode, which saw the cast enjoy a Suits-themed cake and several bottles of champagne.

The legal series airs on US broadcaster the USA Network but UK viewers can watch the first episode of Suits series seven on streaming service Netflix now.
