Mary Berry narrowly escapes being kicked by goat on Everyday cooking show

The beloved Bake Off star had a close call with a feisty farm animal

Mary Berry had a close call with a goat on the latest episode of her BBC cooking show.

The former Bake Off judge had a go at making her own goat’s cheese in the latest instalment of Mary Berry Everyday – and that meant collecting some fresh milk.

However, it didn’t really look like the chosen goat, named Bea, was much in the mood for a milking.

When Berry attempted to take hold of an udder, the goat quite literally kicked off – and the presenter nearly found herself on the receiving end of a hoof.

In classic Mary Berry style she laughed off the encounter with a one-liner: “Granny’s lost her goat!”

Luckily a second goat, Annabel, was brought on for Berry to attempt milking, which proved much more successful.

Being a true pro, Berry showed viewers how to turn the hard-earned goat’s milk into a delicious-looking soft cheese, which was later served on bruschetta.

Recently Channel 4 confirmed that Berry will be replaced on the Great British Bake Off by new judge Prue Leith, who is joining the baking show alongside new presenters Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.
