What happened on Love Island last night? Dani and Jack spark national celebrations as they reunite - but poor Georgia gets dumped by savage Josh

Not only has Love Island become the most talked about show in the country, it has now been bestowed with the questionable honour of being the most complained about too.

Surprisingly it wasn't Adam's treatment of women, nor the lack of diversity that angered viewers. After all, that would make sense. Instead it was a brief clip shown to Dani that sent the 22-year-old into an unnecessary meltdown over her relationship with Jack after producers invited his ex into Casa Amor.

Anyway, we digress...

Dani's over the top emotional outburst quickly came to an end when she calmed herself down and realised Jack would never stray, and the focus in the villa instead turned to Georgia's imminent heartbreak.

Fuming: Georgia has been dumped in favour of Kaz by Josh

With a re-coupling about to take place, all eyes were on Josh and whether he would stick with her or have his head turned.

It's been a rocky road for the youngest woman in the house, who readily admitted that she kept Josh at arms length for so long because of her own insecurities.

After sharing her true feelings for him, producers tore the couple apart and sent in Kaz to ruffle some feathers. It worked, and Josh's eye quickly turned to the gorgeous model, who confessed that she felt something between them both.

Following a brief courting period that primarily involved toe-sucking, the pair officially hit it off and it became clear that Josh's feelings for Georgia weren't as strong as he'd made out.

So after Georgia decided to stay loyal, she was left devastated when Josh walked back into the villa holding hands with Kaz. It was a tough moment to watch, and it's going to be difficult for Georgia to see Josh as anything but a heartbreaker.

We've had numerous villains unmask themselves on this year's show. Putting the Three Witches from Macbeth to shame, we've had Adam and his appalling treatment of women, Megan and her insatiable need to ruin the lives of any men in her path, and Wes' faux "I'm such a good guy" act.

While social media appears dead-set on lumping Josh in the same boat, that just wouldn't be fair. Throughout his time in the second villa, he has clearly demonstrated that he has feelings for Georgia. But in the end this is a reality show with the sole purpose being to find the person you're most compatible with, and for Josh, it's abundantly clear that that is Kaz.

He's not gone about it in a callous manner, and over the past few days he's grown increasingly torn about the idea of leaving Georgia on her own.

In the Beach Hut, before re-coupling he said: “I’m not in the business of breaking hearts. I know Georgia likes me and I do like Georgia.”

So while viewers may love Georgia, her devastation doesn't make Josh a bad person. They both seem to be in the villa to find something genuine, and we can't see her having a hard time finding someone else she's even more compatible with.

Away from from the surprises, and despite producers' painfully obvious ploy to get viewers worrying about Jack and Dani, the clear winners of the series ran back into each other's arms quicker than you can say "650 complaints".

Zara's romance with Adam came to an end when he walked back into the villa with Darylle. But she shouldn't feel bad, after all their five day relationship is likely his longest ever.

Dr. Alex finally bagged himself a woman after weeks of pining after everything with a pulse, and the criminally overlooked Samira has found herself in a couple with a man who actually has some romantic interest in her for the first time.

Alex's transition from single male to ladies man who put a girl on the "subs bench" so he could spend time with another was seriously jarring to watch, as was Charlie constantly telling him that he's "hilarious" when all he could do was laugh at her accent.

In the mean time, while watching Georgia's heartbreak was one of the toughest moments on television this year, there was a sweet moment of retribution for Laura when Wes walked back into the villa without a woman by his side.

In classic Megan style she had clearly forgotten who he even was, and the so delicious it just had to be fattening moment came when we got to watch Laura grip tightly onto Jack Fowler's arm while the man that callously pushed her aside sloped back into the villa without anyone.

Giving Mystic Meg a run for her money, Laura summed up our feelings perfectly hours before the re-coupling took place, saying: "Megan is a bit of a shambles. Wes is going to be loyal to her, but... Karma's a b****."

Love Island is on ITV2, tomorrow night at 9:30pm
