Love Island hopeful Curtis Pritchard prompted viewers to crash a website after he revealed that his favourite “romantic position” is “the eagle.”

In the first challenge of series five, contestants were forced to match up a confession to the islander who made it.

Curtis confessed to being a fan of “the eagle” during the bizarre task, which was titled Sliding Into The DMs.

“The eagle is my favourite romantic position, we shall say,” he said. “I will leave you all to find that one out yourself because I’m not telling you what it is.”

Viewers were left baffled by his admission and promptly searched the Internet to learn more.

Fans on Twitter then shared screenshots of a site called sexinfo101.com showing an error message because “too many people are accessing this website.”

“We’re sorry, too many people are accessing this website at the same time. We’re working on this problem. Please try again later,” the full message read.

“Everyone’s definitely had the same idea after hearing Curtis fave sex position is the eagles, look at this,” one viewer wrote.

“Curtis and the ‘Eagle’ just full on crashed a website,” another message read.

“I love that literally 2 minutes after Curtis mentions the #eagle the internet literally broke,” a third comment said.

Yesterday’s episode saw Curtis and fellow new islander Tommy Fury decide who to couple up with.

The former Dancing with the Stars professional chose to pair up with flight attendant Amy, despite having expressed an interest in Yewande, while Tommy decided to couple up with Lucie - leaving Joe looking distraught.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
