While Love Island new arrival Craig Lawson was making a beeline for unlucky-in-love Camilla in Majorca, his ex-fiancée appeared to be slating the “absolute disgrace” on social media for ‘leaving three children behind’.

Screenshots made their way round Twitter of comments Sian Dilley, Lawson’s ex-partner, had allegedly made on Facebook during the most recent episode of the ITV2 dating show. “The bloke is an absolute joke," she is believed to have said.

“He’s left three children behind – all who were excited at the thought of spending time with their daddy this weekend and he didn’t even have the decency to tell them what he was doing and that he won’t be seeing them. Absolute disgrace.”

The posts prompted another Facebook user to remark: “Bet the mother won’t moan about the money when it comes in tho will she [sic]”,

Dilley, whose profile features pictures of Lawson including snaps of their engagement, allegedly replied: “I am the mother,” before adding “Some things are bigger than money. Like his children.”

Love Island fans were quick to join in with the criticism of Lawson, and begged Camilla to stay away from him.

Lawson was one of 11 new singles to join the show on Thursday night, which saw the boys and girls split off into two separate houses and joined by latecomers of the opposite sex.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Lawson for comment.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
