The new batch of Love Island contestants have reportedly been given a new set of rules ahead of the forthcoming series, including nudity and sex bans.

According to reports, this year’s set of singletons will have to be on their best behaviour as ITV bosses have imposed some strict sanctions.

During last year’s smash hit comeback series, several of the contestants were filmed taking part in sexual activity and shown fully nude.

This summer’s series will reportedly see the wannabe stars banned from engaging in sexual activity after the consumption of alcohol.

They are also not allowed to be fully nude in front of fellow islanders, nor are they allowed to perform any solo sexual acts.

All contestants will be offered the chance to see a counselor after having sex and will be given a handbook detailing ever rule upon entering Casa Amora.

The show is said to have received over 100,000 applications from singles hoping to jet off to the Majorcan villa, including some from former Made in Chelsea and TOWIE stars.

Earlier this month, a source told The Sun: "Reality TV wannabes have seen the overnight success enjoyed by last year's Love Island contestants and want a piece of the action.

"Therefore producers want to ensure that their chosen singletons are genuinely looking for love rather than fame and haven't appeared on any other reality shows before.

“Even Celebs Go Dating extras, who have appeared as dates for the celebrities are being ruled out.”

Love Island returns to ITV2 later this year.
