Remember that time Samuel L Jackson recapped Game of Thrones with as much sweary abandon as you hoped?

Well, now another unlikely source has offered a catch-up guide to the internet’s other ultra-violent genre TV show.

The Walking Dead is about to shuffle back onto our screens for the highly anticipated Season 7 – and if you’re not up to date we have just the thing.

None other than comedy legend John Cleese is here to help you sort your walkers from your Wolves, with a few handy tips for surviving the zombie apocalypse chucked in for good measure.

As well as introducing Rick Grimes (“Clint Eastwood, but a bit more sensitive”) and his son (“Carrrrrrrl”), Cleese rifles through the plot from Herschel’s farm, to Woodbury and beyond.

Of course, if you’re way behind and don’t want any spoilers you’re best not to watch it – and you should stay off the internet once Season 7 arrives.

The Walking Dead - Season 7 - Comic-Con Trailer

The season premiere is set to reveal exactly who – spoiler alert – ultra-bad baddie Negan killed in the Season 6 finale with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat Lucille.

Rumour has it that two major characters will be bumped off – so don’t get too attached.

The Walking Dead Season 1-6 available now on NOW TV and Sky Box Sets

Season 7 debuts on FOX on Monday October 24, 9pm
