One of last year’s biggest Box Office successes was the arrival of Jurassic World – but while the T-rex returned, the only human star to reappear from the original films was BD Wong as Dr Wu.

Speaking on the Graham Norton show, Jeff Goldblum, who starred in Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, revealed that he could have been in the series reboot – but was already ‘satisfied’ at having been in the first two films.

Confirming that his character has not been killed off in the franchise, Goldblum said: “Yes. I was available. But had a big satisfying meal with being in two of them.”

With a sequel to Jurassic World currently in production, it seems like Goldblum might have just ruled himself out of turning up in the next instalment.

One franchise Goldblum has returned to is Independence Day, with long-awaited sequel Resurgence arriving later this month.

Starring alongside Goldblum in the new film is Liam Hemsworth – who revealed that working on the blockbuster gave him alien invasion nightmares.

“My work really affects my home life and I had terrible nightmares that Jeff and I were being attacked by aliens,” Hemsworth said.

“I actually had dreams that we were running away from aliens. We weren’t fighting them, just running away!”
