Love Island series four is just around the corner as 11 singletons head off to the Spanish sunshine in search of that special someone.

On Monday, with exactly one week to go, the contestants for this year’s ITV2 show were revealed, with a model, a West End performer and even a doctor in the mix.

One of the girls for the 2018 series is no stranger to reality shows, having competed briefly in Survival Of The Fittest earlier this year. The barmaid is also the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer.

Before we see Dani Dyer in the villa, here’s what you should already know about her…

Who is Dani Dyer?

Barmaid Dani Mas Dyer is the daughter of Danny Dyer – who plays Mick Carter in EastEnders – and his long-term partner Joanne Mas, who he recently married. Dani has two younger siblings – 11-year-old Sunnie and Arty, five.

The 21-year-old describes herself as a “positive” person, very much already staking her claim as the shoulder to cry on in the villa by saying “I’d like to be the one that they can talk to. I like having heart to hearts and building relationships”.

Where have we seen Dani before?

Dani appeared on ITV2’s Love Island replacement Survival of the Fittest earlier this year, the reality show set in a makeshift lodge in South Africa pitting the boys and the girls against each other.

Unfortunately, Dani’s time on the show was short-lived as she dislocated her shoulder in the first task and was forced to pull out of the competition . She had been linked to a stint on Love Island ever since, and now it's finally been confirmed.

What can we expect from Dani on Love Island?

The aspiring actress said in her press pack interview that she is looking for somebody “genuine” and that she “likes paying compliments”, so expect to see Dani heavy on the charm offensive as the search for a soulmate heats up.

Dani also revealed that her most “disastrous date” was with a guy who told the waitress who her famous father is so we can guess that Dani is looking to attract a date for reasons other than her Walford connections – although fans have already tipped mentions of her dad to be the next “I was in Blazin’ Squad”.

When does Love Island start?

Love Island begins on Monday 4 June at 9pm on ITV2.
