Stephanie Davis entered the Celebrity Big Brother house three weeks ago with a boyfriend, model Sam Reece, on the outside.

However, during her time in the Channel 5 reality show, the former Hollyoaks actress has become increasingly close to housemate Jeremy McConnell, with the pair frequently seen cuddling and kissing.

After a few weeks in the house, McConnell admitted that he had fallen in love with the star, and earlier this week she returned the sentiment, saying “I love you” to McConnell.

Now with lifestyle guru Gillian McKeith in the house, Davis has come to a realisation and admitted on the TV show that she ‘needs to be single’.

McKeith named Davis as one of the ‘toxic’ housemates who would enter her special 'detox' area of the house.

Speaking to Davis, McKeith told her that she needs to take a break from Jeremy: “If you have a boyfriend, you can’t really expect to be carrying on with someone else and feel good about it. You need some self-discipline.”

With Stephanie claiming that she “just wanted to be loved”, McKeith advised her that she needs to love herself first.

It seems the comments made an impression, as Stephanie later said: “It’s made me realise what I’m worth and that I need to be single.”

Speaking to Jeremy, Davis admitted: “I’m going to miss you tonight, obviously Sam [Reece] is not right for me and I need to sort it when I get out.”

It remains to be seen whether Reece will comment about the public possible-dumping on Twitter. Early into the series he announced online that he would no longer be supporting Davis during her time in the show.

He later clarified that he had not publicly broken up with the star while she is in the house, and would speak to her once the show had ended.
