Big Brother bosses have unveiled the new eye logo ahead of the upcoming series, which has been billed as a “culture clash of modern Britain”.

The eye-catching logo is made up of a multi-coloured Union Jack flag with images representative of Britain, from a red phone box, to the gates of Buckingham Palace and a polling station in a nod to the upcoming general election.

There is also a mosque and a protest sign reading “We are all immigrants”.

Teasing the new series Channel 5 said: “This summer, Big Brother presents a must-watch culture clash of modern Britain.

“At a time of political upheaval and tough questions about unity in the UK, Big Brother brings you an alternative look at Britain.”

Show bosses have warned viewers to “standby for a very British summer of contrasts, conflicts and collaboration...and more fireworks than you could imagine, as a selection of people, from a range of backgrounds, come together in the ultimate social experiment”.

Emma Willis will return as host to welcome the next batch of housemates for a summer of “tasks, twists and surprises” which bosses promise will “bond, divide and entertain the housemates and viewers alike”.

Big Brother’s Bit On the Side will also return weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal.

Contestants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jason Burrill, who despite dividing housemates and viewers when he opted to evict Lateysha Grace, went on to win the 2016 series.
