The second I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! eviction of 2019 has taken place with Andrew Maxwell leaving the jungle.

The comedian was eliminated during Sunday night’s instalment of the ITV show, following a public vote.

After 16 days in the camp, the star walked out of the jungle and addressed his clash with Ian Wright, which took place earlier this week.

Speaking to presenters Ant and Dec during his exit interview, Andrew confirmed that his relationship with the former footballer has blossomed.

He said: “I love the man, we are really similar.”

The star added that the pair were alike in the way they missed their families.

He said: “Both of us feel it in the same level and got on the same rhythm of being down and missing our families at the same time.”

Ant and Dec then showed viewers clips of Andrew and Ian's friendship growing after various clashes this week.

The incident, broadcast on Wednesday evening, saw the pair argue in a disagreement over cooking rice and beans.

A spokeswoman for Ofcom told Standard Online: “We’ve had 32 complaints about perceived bullying towards Andrew in last night’s episode.

“We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

It was not the first time the pair have fallen out.

During Tuesday night’s episode, Ian accused Andrew of not being “cut out for success” after the comedian chose to celebrate his Bushtucker Trial win by napping instead of cleaning.

Meanwhile, earlier on Sunday's episode, the contestants faced another challenge when a storm hit camp, and they had to race up to the cabin to try and stay dry.

Discussing the downpour later, Roman Kemp said it was “like a movie scene”.

Jacqueline Jossa said: “It was mental, I’ve not got drenched like this in under three seconds before, it’s scary actually.”

I'm A Celebrity continues on Monday night on ITV.
