Put down that spell book - you won’t need magic to get a ticket for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child after all, as a further 250,000 tickets are to be released.

Having received a parade of five-star reviews, the magical show has seemed nigh-on impossible to bag a ticket for, but fans can now book to see the show through to December 10, 2017.

Tickets will be released for sale next week, on Thursday 4 August at 11am. Tickets are priced from £15 per part, with 300 tickets at £20 or less available for every performance.

The news will be a relief for fans who have not been able to get their hands on a ticket, as until now they could only rely on returns or a ticket lottery of 40 tickets made available every Friday for £40.

With the script published this Sunday (July 31), fans will at least be able to find out the secrets of the eighth part of Harry Potter’s story – but the critics suggest the stage magic is something that needs to be seen to be believed.
