Front row seats for £10 at the Donmar

19 November 2012

Theatregoers snapped up tickets to see Phyllida Lloyd’s production of Julius Caesar for just £10 as the Donmar Warehouse launched its Barclays Front Row scheme today.

The first set of tickets to be released as part of the scheme, which aims to attract a more diverse theatre audience, sold out in under ten minutes.

But those who missed out on today’s opportunity can try again next week.

At 10am every Monday the theatre will release more than 40 seats in the front row of the stalls and circle for each performance priced at £10. The tickets are for performances two weeks later, so today’s tranche were for the week beginning December 3. Next Monday’s tickets will be for the week beginning December 10.

The much anticipated all-female production of Julius Caesar stars Frances Barber in the title role, with Harriet Walter as Brutus. Future Donmar productions, including Trelawny of the Wells and The Weir, will also be part of the Barclays Front Row scheme.
