With tour dates on the horizon and a new album due for release this year, there’s another sign that Radiohead are back in action.

The group are said to have filmed a new music video with Oscar-nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson in LA – according to a resident who claims the filmmaker came to her house.

The news comes from Stefanie Wilder-Taylor, who claims she was given $200 for parts of the video to be shot in her house, and spoke about the filming on her podcast For Crying Out Loud.

The episode has since been taken down – likely due to the fact that Wilder-Taylor claims she signed a non-disclosure agreement.

According to Fact Magazine, the resident said: “So, I’m at home and there’s a knock at the door… there’s a guy with a clipboard. I come to the door with a scowl on my face and the guy says, ‘Hey, we’re in the neighbourhood, we’re going to be shooting a music video.’ So now, I’m thinking you’re basically telling me – what happens a lot in my neighbourhood, because it’s a very typical suburban looking neighbourhood – I’m gonna be inconvenienced.”

“Then the guy goes – ‘it’s Radiohead!’ I can’t tell you anything about it. I’m guessing that’s the non-disclosure part. Between us girls, Radiohead – I don’t give a s***, I don’t get it. I’ve heard one song I don’t care about – Creep. Yeah, you’re a creep and a loser and you’re putting me to sleep.

“Here’s the cool part. Then the next day, the guy goes, I wanna bring the director by your house… this guy comes in, says, ‘Hey, this is the director, Paul’… really normal looking guy. Then I say, ‘Hey, you look kind of familiar… Have we met?’ Do you make anything apart from music videos?”

As it turned out, it was the director of There Will Be Blood, Inherent Vice, Magnolia and more.

Anderson has previously worked with Radiohead band member Jonny Greenwood, who wrote the soundtracks to There Will Be Blood, The Master, and Inherent Vice.

Stay alert, people new material surely has to be on the way.
