Camped-up cheesy nonsense

One of those horror movies purportedly based on true life, this time the case of an early 19th-century Tennessee farmer being cursed by a witch.

Unfortunately Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek, a formidable pair, can't save the camped-up nonsense of Courtney Solomon's cheesy film. His camera can't sit still for a moment.

Some good reviews in America shouldn't fool aficionados of the genre, who will have to limit themselves to counting the tributes to other, better films.
