The Natural History Museum has exhumed a host of long-dead species for its latest exhibition, Extinction: Not the End of the World? From February 8 to September 8, visitors will be able to gawp at all manner of strange beasts, birds and fish, including a sabre-toothed cat, giant clam and, of course, extinction's poster-child, the dodo.

The exhibition also documents the remarkable stories of survivors of mass extinctions and looks at endangered species such as the tiger and orangutan.
