Hot Tickets - Weekend comedy

5 April 2012

Here are the biggest comedy gigs in the capital this weekend...

Tom Stade
Humour with attitude from a Canadian comedian who has spent a lot of time in the UK perfecting his sharp brand of politically incorrect quips. Stade has worked with Frankie Boyle - if you like the abrasive Scot you'll probably love this take-no-prisoners approach.
Until Saturday 8 October , Leicester Square Theatre, WC2 (0844 847 2475, leicestersquaretheatre.com)

The Horne Section
Versatile clown Alex Horne brings his playful take on the variety show format back into the West End. Every Saturday special guests will do their act and interact with Horne's band. Tonight's line-up includes Twitter king Peter Serafinowicz and offbeat poet Tim Key.
Saturday 8 October, Criterion Theatre, SW1 (020 7424 8918, theinvisibledot.com)

Alan Davies
The QI panellist does so much TV it is easy to forget that he started as a stand-up. Davies will try out new material so he will probably set out on a major tour next year. Catch him now at a fraction of the price and in an intimate setting.
Saturday 8 October until October 14, Pleasance, N7 (020 7609 1800, pleasance.co.uk)
