Modern masters including Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock are among the famous names whose work is going under the hammer next week in a £111 million sale.

Warhol’s Six Self-Portraits — which were first exhibited in a London show more than 30 years ago — are expected to sell for around £22 million.

Jackson Pollock’s Number 21, one of his trademark drip paintings, is estimated to go for £15 million.

Similar prices are expected for pieces by US artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose work recently featured in a sell-out show at the Barbican, and Francis Bacon when they go under the hammer at Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art sale in London on Tuesday.
