Ivanka Trump’s new book about working women has made the New York Times bestseller list.

Women Who Work: Rewriting The Rules For Success, which was released last week, has taken the fourth spot on the "Advice, How-To and Misc. and Monthly Best Sellers" list for the New York Times.

The list was published in print and online today.

The First Daughter’s book is step-by-step guide for working women and mothers, with tips and advice for getting ahead in a career.

After appearing on The Apprentice years ago and receiving a flood of letters from young women asking for guidance, I realised the need for more female leaders to speak out publicly in order to change the way society thinks and talks about ‘women who work’,” says Trump of her book.

“So I created a forum to do just that. This book evolves the conversation that started on IvankaTrump.com, where so many incredible women (and men!) have shared their experiences, advice, ambitions, and passions.

”

Women Who Work has been met with mixed reviews. The New York Times's Jennifer Senior called it "a strawberry milkshake of inspirational quotes."

Some of those quoted in the book weren't too thrilled about being included either.

Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani took to Twitter after the book was released to raise concern about her inclusion in the book.

"Don't use my story in #WomenWhoWork unless you are going to stop being #complicit #askivanka," she wrote.

Ivanka Trump has said she'll donate royalties from the book to the Ivanka M. Trump Charitable Fund, a charity that make grants to organisations that empower and educate women and girls.
