2016 has been a whirlwind. From Brexit to Trump to the Queen’s birthday there is no denying that this year has had its moments.

Photographer Alison Jackson gives us a glimpse of what happened – with a hefty dose of poetic licence. Jackson uses 'squint and they're the same' body doubles and imagines their private lives.

Trump is the man of the moment. From his campaign trail to partying post-election, his imagined antics have provided her with endless inspiration

In Jackson's world Blair takes his chance to edit the Chilcott Report, Boris fixes one of his eponymous bikes in the foreign office, Trump and Farage celebrate with Champagne and lobster.

The only constant is the Queen, whose 'double' is seen opening a mountain of birthday post. David Cameron is surrounded by less happy news – writing leaving cards.
