An LA-based street artist who had a starring role in a memorable episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is opening an exhibition in London next week.

Mr Brainwash – French-born Thierry Guetta – will return to the capital this week with a show of recent work at Maddox Gallery in Westbourne Grove.

The artist, who is best known for his “Life is Beautiful” tag, appeared in a 2016 episode of the reality show, in which he invited the famous family’s matriarch Kris Jenner (who was already a fan and customer of his) to his studio for a tour.

On the visit, Mr Brainwash revealed a painting he had made of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and their mother, posed in the style of a Pierre Auguste-Renoir painting.

Mr Brainwash also featured heavily in Exit Through The Gift Shop, a film fellow street artist Banksy, and talked former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama through a mural that he created in Washington DC inspired by her Let Girls Learn campaign.

As far as we can tell, artist Mr Brainwash doesn’t actually practice brainwashing – but he certainly seems to have charmed the Momager.

Keep Smiling will run at Maddox Gallery Westbourne Grove from April 20 – May 14 2018. For more information visit maddoxgallery.co.uk.
