Yeung moves to buy Birmingham City FC

Hong Kong-based businessman Carson Yeung has made a £1-a-share cash offer for Birmingham City Football Club — valuing it at £81.51m.

Yeung's Grandtop International bought 29.9% of the club in 2007, but stopped there. It has now got acceptances taking its holding to 80%.

If the deal goes ahead, it will mean half Premier League clubs are foreign-owned.
